This is the easiest Pizza I have baked. It literally took 5 minutes to bake this with an almost negligible Prep time, which makes it prefect for those 4 PM hunger pangs
All you need is 3 main ingredients & 5 minutes to bake this one. It is also a fun way to involve the kids in cooking.
Since, these Pizzas feel quite light on the stomach unlike regular Pizzas, they will make for an easy an delicious appetizer. You can also experiment with different toppings & use Pesto instead of Marinara Sauce. The Options are endless
You Will Need:
- Pita Bread - I have used Mini Pita Pockets from Trader Joe's
- Pizza Sauce or Marinara Sauce ( 1 tablespoon for each Pita Pocket )
- Low Moisture Mozzarella - Grated
- Some Sliced Black Olives
- Italian Seasoning
- A few Fresh Basil Leaves
- Salt
How To:
Preheat the oven to 450 F or 230 C
Place the Pita pockets on a baking tray. You can bake 4-5 Mini Pita Pockets at a time. Spread a tablespoon of Pizza sauce on each of them
Sprinkle some salt, add a dash of the Italian seasoning
Add Grated Mozzarella cheese on top
Add Sliced Black Olives
Put the tray in the oven & bake for 5 minutes.
Take them out of the oven & sprinkle some more seasoning & garnish with a few torn basil leaves
Enjoy them while they are still warm & fresh out of the oven
You can also top it with Onion & Bell Peppers but you will need to sauté it first as the baking time is only 5 minutes
