You Won't Need to Boil Pasta Separately Anymore Yay !!

Spaghetti Cooked With Marinara Sauce & Vegetables In An Instant

Pot. This is an Easy One Pot Meal & Can be made under 30 minutes

Instant Pot Spaghetti

I can't believe I tried this recipe  2 years after getting the instant pot. This Instant pot Spaghetti recipe is so good & so quick

Its quick because you don't need to boil the pasta separately & mix in with the vegetables & sauce.

It took me less than 30 minutes right from cutting the vegetables to serving this. I am never going back to my old way of making Spaghetti ever again

 You Will Need:

  • 1 packet Spaghetti - 1 Lb
  • 2 cups Marinara Sauce
  • 3 cups water
  • Half an onion - diced
  • Half an Yellow, Red & Green Peppers - diced
  • 1 small Carrot - Diced
  • A few sliced black olives
  • Mixed Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli Powder - optional
  • 4-5 cloves of Garlic - Chopped
  • Salt
  • 1/3 cup parmesan
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
How To:

Add 3 cups of water in a pot & heat it on the stovetop.

Select the Sauté 'Normal' mode in a 6 Qt Instant Pot

Add Olive Oil & once the oil heats up, add garlic & onions & sauté for a minute

Add the diced bell Peppers & Carrots & some salt & sauté for a minute

Add Marinara Sauce, Red chili Powder, Italian Seasoning & mix well. Let it simmer for a minute

Add half of the hot water into the instant pot. Mix well & deglaze the pot. Add salt as per taste

Break spaghetti into half & distribute evenly over the simmering sauce. Add the rest of the hot water on top

Cancel the 'Sauté mode. Close the lid with the vent in the sealing position

Pressure cook on High Pressure for 7 minutes

Once the Pressure Cook cycle is complete,  Do a  NPR (No Pressure Release) for 6 minutes

After 6 minutes, release the remaining pressure

Take out the lid. You will see that spaghetti is watery

Don't worry. All the water is going to get absorbed in a couple of minutes

Take a fork & gently mix the spaghetti. Now, you will notice the the water is getting soaked up

After 1 1/2 - 2 minutes (After all the water is soaked up) take out the inner pot place it on the counter.

Let it rest for 5 minutes for the flavors to get absorbed

Add parmesan cheese & olives & chopped basil if using. Mix gently & serve

Keep it covered to avoid the spaghetti from drying up

NOTE:

In the traditional way of cooking spaghetti, sometimes the Spaghetti or any other pasta kind of dries up as it cools down. I was thinking that this will also become dryish after cooling but No :)

I kept the pasta covered after I removed the inner pot from the instant pot. I ate it almost after 30-40 minutes & I was surprised that the sauces had not dried up
