We all need a little bit Sweet, sometimes. Which is why you Need this Brownie Recipe in your life. Single Serve Desserts are a great way to satisfy your dessert cravings.
One of my favorite quick mug cake recipes has always been The Eggless Chocolate Banana Mug Cake but I was looking for a single serve Brownie Recipe, that I can bake in the oven
I came across this Brownie recipe & made a few tweaks to get the right texture. While, it can be made in the Microwave as well, Baking it in the oven gives it a better texture.
I know that baking a single serve dessert for 12 minutes is a ridiculously long wait, but its worth it
You Will need:
- 4 tablespoons All Purpose Flour
- 1 tablespoon Cocoa Powder
- 2 & 1/2 tablespoon Maple Syrup
- 1 & 1/2 tablespoon Coconut Oil - Melted
- A pinch of Sea Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 2 tablespoon Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
How To:
Preheat the Oven for 350 F
In a bowl add melted Coconut Oil, Maple Syrup, Vanilla extract & Sea Salt & whisk well.
Add Cocoa Powder, All Purpose Flour & half of the chocolate chips & mix well.
Grease a 3.5 inch Cast Iron Pan with some Oil. Pour the prepared batter into the pan
Top with remaining Chocolate Chips & Bake in the oven for 12 minutes
Take the Brownie out of the oven & let it cool for 5 minutes before eating
You can Top it with a small scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream
What Kind of Baking Dish to Use ?
I use a 5 inch Cast Iron skillet from Lodge. It's super cute & small & perfect for single serve desserts.
If you want to double this recipe, use a 6.5 inch Skillet. You can also bake this in Ramekins.
Substitute For Maple Syrup
You can try using Honey instead . Since Honey is thicker than maple syrup, you may need to add a splash of milk to adjust the consistency of the batter
Can I bake this in the Microwave?
Yes, you can. You will need to pour the batter into a Microwave safe mug or a bowl & microwave for 90 seconds
But the texture of an Oven Baked Brownie is going to be much better. So, try baking it. 12 minutes isn't that long :)
